Why Dating IS So Hard Now and other coming topics
Hi! It's been a while!
I've been working with singles for over 5 years now. This new series of content here and on social media will be packed filled with ideas and tips that will show you, not just what has worked for many of my clients to find love and have healthy long term partnerships like marriage, but also give some behind the scenes looks at coaching and the concepts that truly work.
What you want to ask yourself is:
Are you ready to really take on these concepts and tools? Are you ready to give yourself the right and ownership over your life so you can find love, once and for all.
So here we go!
Why is dating so hard now?
Swiping is like a quick high that can be very addicting.
1. If you're only swiping every day and going on first dates...you are not dating. Dating is when you regularly see each other in an effort to create a relationship. So, don't say it is going poorly if you are not getting to the next steps. Instead, do things that get you into real dating.
2. What happens is when we have exciting interactions (on apps or first dates), we assume that feeling is what an entire life with that person will be like. Then, that high from first dates dwindles when you get to date 3-10...and then the person seems real, boring, and every little thing becomes something to nit pick about. Instead, get clarity on what you want and why you want it. Make a list. (I have an easy method for this) Then, compare your dates to that list rather than the exciting high of another first date or some flirty text with another new match.
For our brains…it’s safer to keep trying than to stick it out with someone we don’t know yet. Think out of the box and wonderful things will start happening!
3. More swiping, more matches or another city filter is not the answer.
